We love for people to meet our alpacas and see what sweet and soft animals they are, but one of the best parts about a visit to our farm is the chance to see all the beautiful things that can be made from alpaca fiber.

Our store is made up of 3 rooms.  The first contains Fair Trade Certified items made in Peru.  We carry a wide selection of  superfine and baby alpaca sweaters for men and women  in sizes from XSmall to XXLarge.  Our alpaca scarves, hats, gloves and other accessories are warm and soft.  One of our most popular items are our alpaca socks in a variety of styles and colors.  This room also contain our sweet and fluffy alpaca figures and alpaca teddy bears.

We are often asked if we send our fiber to Peru to be used in the making of the wonderful items in the first room.  We do not.  Those items are made with Peruvian alpaca fiber.  At Peaceful Heart Alpacas, we shear in May, and sort our 300+ pounds of fiber by color and fiber type.   We then send our fiber to be washed and made up into 100% alpaca yarn or rovings for spinning and felting.  We use a small US fiber mill in Tennessee, New Era Fiber Mill.  In the second room of our store, we sell these beautiful yarns and rovings as well as unprocessed fiber and full alpaca fleeces.  We also have items that we knit, crochet and weave here at the farm.

Our third room is a yarn shop where we sell alpaca yarns of all weights and colors.  We carry 100% alpaca yarns from The Alpaca Yarn Company and Plymouth Yarn Company.  We carry a wide selection of patterns for all our yarns from the lace weight Suri Elegance to the bulky Baby Alpaca Grande.

The store is open April to December from 10 am to 5 pm, Monday-Saturday and Sundays 1-5 pm.  January to March, we are open Friday to Sunday or by appointment.  You can also visit our store online at www.peacefulheartalpacas.net
