Cold Kisses
The alpacas are happy to see the winds finally die down. Alpacas don’t mind the snow or cold, but they are not fans of the high winds we get up here. They, like us, try to spend as much time as possible inside when the wind is blowing and the wind chill is low (this week it dropped below zero several days). Luckily they have some nice comfortable sheds. Now that the wind has died down everyone is anxious to get out and about for a walk, and to give some kisses. (Click on the pictures for more details.)

We have just received some beautiful new alpaca rovings in a variety of colors. They are available in all grades from our finest royal baby alpaca from award-winning Asa Lee to a lovely gray/black blend of the upper leg and belly fibers of our gray Gryffyn and black alpacas like Paladin and Sharyn. Our most unique are the multicolor rovings from Effie Mae and her brother Vesta. All of the rovings are wonderful for spinning and felting. You can see them at our online store at the following link:
We’ll be adding a few more rovings over the next week, as well as some new yarns, so check back with us in a few days.
