It’s A Boy!
We welcomed the newest cria to the farm on Friday, September 25. Christolph is a beautiful brown boy out of The Black Pearl and Polar Ice. The Black Pearl is owned by Sharon Wilson, who will soon be moving her herd of six alpacas to her own farm soon.
Christolph weighed 15.8 pounds at birth and is full of energy. Due to the very wet weather we had over the weekend, he has spent the first few days of life living inside the barn. Visitors for National Alpaca Farm Days over the weekend and all this week have been able to see him there. We woke to lovely sunshine today, though, and Christolph is now running around the pasture with the spring crias. Windy Darling and Delightful Rain were thrilled to meet him.
