Summer has definitely arrived, and despite the heavy rains we have been getting lately, it is hot.  Time for the crias’ first haircuts.  Yesterday we sheared our littlest farm members.  Ziva David (18 days old), MacKenzie’s Meadows William Wallace (15 days old), and Early Riser (‘Earlyne’, 7 days old).  We put up an album of before and after pictures on our Facebook page.  (You can look through the album without having to sign up for Facebook.)

They were all quite happy to get that extra fiber off and be cooler for summer.  They sheared between 4-7 ounces each.  For those visiting the farm, we’ll have samples of our girls’ fleeces available in the store.
